What you'll need

  • 1 lb stuffed grape leaves
  • 1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves lemon
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1/2 cup fresh oregano
  • 1 tbsp crumbled feta
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • to taste flaky salt
Method

Step by step

  1. Pat the stuffed grape leaves dry and season it well so it browns instead of steaming.
  2. Get your pan hot and render the aromatics until they smell sweet and toasty.
  3. Return the stuffed grape leaves, add just enough liquid, and simmer until everything is tender.
  4. Taste, brighten with a squeeze of citrus, and plate while it is still hot.
