Spiced Vanilla Flan with Caramel Drizzle
This Vanilla Flan is a little rustic and all the better for it, finished with Caramel Drizzle.

- 1 lb vanilla flan
- 3 cloves all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 medium fine sea salt
- to taste a squeeze of citrus
Method
Step by step
- Heat the oven and prepare the pan so it is ready before the batter is.
- Cream or whisk the butter, sugar and eggs until smooth and light.
- Fold in the dry ingredients gently to keep the texture tender.
- Bake until just set, then cool fully before slicing and serving.
